TAIWAN DAY 1

It a freaking exciting day to start off with. Met up with my Polymates and we will be flying over to TAIPEI for a great 7days 6 nights trip! Baby came over as a surprise to send me off. I am so touched by him.

Since our flight was in the late noon and we shall land at around 8.25pm over at TaoYuan Airport. The very first thing when we touched down were to get ourselves a SIM card. Since there were 6 of us, we go in pairs and 3 cards were purchased. Really love Viber and Whatapps which allows us to have unlimited calls and SMS since we had activated 7 days of data usage.

Right after that we went to buy FreeGo tickets as we will be taking this bus to our hotel.

Tips:
There are booths for SIM cards purchases but I think it close at around 9pm or 9.30pm as we are the last few customers that they served. NTD500 MicroSIM or Non-Micro. You can activate your data usage for the number of days you will be staying in Taiwan. We activated it for 7days and I suppose NTD350 was deducted and we left with NTD150 to make calls. But you don't have to worry about that if you do have Whatsapps and Viber installed. It won't really affect you.

We spend NTD140 per pax for "FreeGo" bus ticket. The journey was very long. But I think its still alright since we touched down at Taipei at night and places near our hotel had already closed. Not recommended if you touched down in the morning, noon or evening. Kinda waste of time.

OUR HOTEL

ECFA Hotel - Wan Nian
6F, No.70, Xining S. Rd., 108 Taipei

This hotel is situated at the 6 floor of a shopping mall. I am quite surprised and shocked by it. When the lift opens, the reception table are just right in front of your eyes. However, the receptionist over the counter are helpful and approachable.

Pros: Atmosphere are great, simple and nicely decorated. Your room will always be neat and clean when you come back from your trip. They have spa oil prepared in the bathroom readily for use. Great service. Located super near XiMenDing shopping district and the train station.

Cons: There is no cabinet, cupboard, wore rode to put your clothes. Only a metal bar to hand a few clothes. Toilets walls are a bit transparent. Rooms are not sound proof. You can hear people talking if there are at the walk way.

Anyway, it is not really noisy as you think. If you are not a light sleeper I think it should be alright. It didn't really affect me and my friend. It could be we are too fatigue.

After we dumped our luggage at our hotel we went out to XiMenDing for a walk. Even though the shops are all closed but there are still some food stalls laying around the streets.

Anyway the weather there was freaking cold. Before we arrived at Taiwan, we are aware that the temperature will be around 20 degree Celsius but it just so sudden that it dropped to around 11 degree celsius for the whole week we stayed. Can you imagine me wearing only jacket. I can feel my whole body shaking. The temperature just sunk like this. Argh!

This is call "凉圆". It like Muah Ji to me. But it's cold.

Quote for the Day

Pure Beauty Heart!
We do not need a beautiful scenery to feel the beauty of this world, the pure heart with love is enough for us to feel the beauty of this world!
